Sometimes my favorite blogs are just a review left from an amazing client!
“Back in early May I spent a few days in Savannah, GA. I stayed at a historic home that had been turned into many small efficiencies with a shared kitchen. The first night, Eva and I sat in that kitchen and chatted about all kinds of things, it was like I’d known her forever. She shared that her side gig is photography and I ooohhh’d and ahhhh’d the pictures she had taken of her little family at the beach and Wormsloe Plantation.
We talked about traveling abroad together because our husbands aren’t wild about the idea (which will happen after this Covid crap ends.) Since she is from Tennessee and I really wanted her to shoot us, I had the idea to have family pictures taken for my in-laws upcoming 50th wedding anniversary at the lake they’ve taken their family to for nearly their entire marriage.
Now, the women of the family were thrilled, GREAT idea. The men, not so much. Up until the 11th hour, I’ve never heard so much bitching about some pictures.
aI warned Eva she might have a tough crowd. She laughed it off and told me she’s got this. Y’all, she blew it out of the water! Not only are these pictures stunning, but she had these grumpy men eating out of her hand AND laughing/smiling in the pictures! Being a photographer in these settings is sooo much more than just the end result. It was 80% chance of rain, so we bought adorable clear umbrellas just in case.
Eva made this experience a pleasure. The men were commenting, “I liked her!”, “She did a good job.”, “That wasn’t so bad.” So thank you Eva for taking my good intentions and making them into something amazing, for everyone. The Kitchen Bunch Extended Family Photography Session in Byrdstown Dale Hollow Lake Marina TN was an absolute blast and a WIN in my book. Although my specialty is couples, as a Murfreesboro Wedding Photographer, I pride myself on learning the latest techniques in photography, posing, and lighting. I absolutely love any chance I can get to use my creativity and passion for beautiful scenes like this one.
